We have kept bees in New Jersey since 1980. We produce raw, local, honey for retail and wholesale sales. We also produce beeswax and beeswax soap. For 20 years we have established many annual plants, perennial flowers, trees and shrubs on our farm. These plants produce abundant pollen and nectar for our honey bees and other native pollinating insects.
We sell honey and beeswax products in our Christmas Barn during the Christmas tree season.
Contact us all year at 908-763-9920 if you would like to purchase our honey in 12 ounce or 2 pound jars.
We also have a limited quantity of beeswax products throughout the year including bulk beeswax and handmade soap.
We are proud of our 2023 honey which won a blue ribbon at the NJ Beekeepers Association fall meeting, where it was judged by over 100 beekeepers as the best tasting honey in NJ. In summer of 2024 our honey won a blue ribbon at the Warren County Farmers Fair.
Where is your honey produced?
Our honey is produced from our 20 hives, located on four different farms in central Warren County, NJ. Honey is extracted and bottled here at Woodsedge Tree Farm in Belvidere, NJ.
Is your honey raw?
Yes, our honey is never heated, never filtered. We only strain honey once when it is extracted from the beeswax honeycombs. Raw honey will sometimes crystalize in the jars after a few months. Simply heat the jars slowly in a warm water bath on your stove at the lowest setting. It will re-liquify in several hours if you prefer liquid honey. Some of our customers prefer crystalized raw honey.
What types of honey do you have?
Our bees produce wildflower honey from a diverse mix of floral sources. Our spring honey is considered "light" and has a sweet, mild, floral aroma and taste. This honey comes from dandelion, maple, locust, clover and other spring wildflowers. Summer honey is "medium amber" and comes from basswood, clover, milkweed, tulip poplar, berry bushes and other native trees and shrubs. Our fall honey is "dark amber" and comes from local flowers such as goldenrod, asters, buckwheat, and knot weed. The summer and fall honeys have more flavor and are often preferred by honey connoisseurs.
