About Our Christmas Tree Farm
Woodsedge Tree Farm includes 75 acres of fields, forests, wetlands and streams in the scenic Skylands of central Warren County. Many species of wildlife abound on the farm. We have been designated a River Friendly Farm by the North Jersey Resource Conservation & Development Council. We have developed a Forest Stewardship plan for our woodlands and in 2013 we were named NJ's Outstanding Forest Stewards. Our farm was permanently preserved by the NJ State Agricultural Development Committee and the Ridge & Valley Conservancy in 2006.
We began planting trees in 2004 and now have about 6 acres of trees in various stages of growth. 2024 will be our 15th year for sales. We have about 400 trees available in the 5'-8' size range for "choose & cut" sales.
This year we will again have some fresh cut fir trees available if you would rather not cut your own. These trees are a little larger than trees growing in the fields. These trees are cut weekly, guaranteed fresh and are from 8'-9' tall.
To bring your tree back from the field we have "tree wheelers", or we can ferry it for you with our utility vehicle. We can drill a hole in the base of your tree with a drill, and we sell pin-type stands for a perfectly straight tree. We shake off any dead needles, grass or bugs with a tree shaker to ensure you have a clean tree to bring into your home. We shake, drill and bale your tree at no added cost.
As always we will have a good supply of our own hand made wreaths and grave blankets for sale . These are made here, with our own greens and all natural materials. Call ahead if you have any special requests for a wreath or grave blanket.
Well behaved pets are welcome. Please keep your dog on a leash and clean up after your dog. Many local farms have banned dogs recently and we would like to continue having dogs visit, so please follow these simple rules.
Due to space limitations in our parking area, no tailgating will be permitted this year. We are sorry for this inconvenience but safety concerns are most important to us.
We again will have a limited selection of handmade wooden crafts - all made by us, from trees from our farm. This includes cutting boards and wood bowls. We will have raw honey from our bees, and homemade beeswax soap, and beeswax candles for sale.
